Finally we have unpacked the Crafty Kit by Alex Toys and created our own Messy Monster. I thought it would be a good craft activity to start talking about Halloween with Vika. All it took is a little glue, two giant wiggly eyes, two legs made from pipe cleaners and lots of paper curls. Once we were done, Vika made the scary monster sound and asked me if I was scared:). After that she wanted the Messy Monster to talk to her. So the Messy Monster thanked her for creating him and they’ve talked about Halloween.

I like autumn. This season brings so much color to out lives. So I’ve decided that today’s coloring activity would be coloring the leaf using the autumn color palate. As a result, I opened up my browser and went on the hunt for leaf print outs. Here is a link to the site where I found my perfect autumn leaf and some other ones.

Here is an idea for your next toddler art project. Paint the vegetables. So far we only painted the cauliflower. Vika got very involved in the process. I am sure we’ll be painting more veggies…

After 3 minutes of painting using paint brush and hands, Vika suddenly decided to clean the paper that she was painting on. So, I gave her a little bit wet paper towel and she started wash the paint away . After she was done, I realized that the papper towel has become the final art peace of our art session.
Here is the final result:
